Color Correction

Every printing press runs slightly differently and is further affected by the paper/substrate that is utilzed. This issue can result in your color output not being what was originally intended. To prevent this problem, we preflight all files for CMYK & Pantone Spot Color compliance. Where needed, we will assign our proprietary CMYK values to your art to allow for more-accurate Pantone color-matching on our press.

Color matching can be accomplished for most Pantone colors on our Indigo Press using our proprietary CMYK values. Some of the more "neon" Pantone colors cannot be accurately reproduced in CMYK due to being out of the color gamut. In these cases, we recommend either printing a separate spot color or utilizing Indichrome printing (6 color process).

Color Matching

We use Pantone Coated colors for all spot-color CD & DVD screenprinting. CMYK prints on our digital-offset press are matched to either coated, matte or uncoated Pantone books, depending on the paper stock / substrates utilized.

In order to minimize the color-correction and preflight charges, please be sure to assign specific Pantone Solid colors where applicable, especially to corporate logos. You should also ensure that all your bitmap images are in CMYK color format and that you do not have multiple spot colors in your palette for the same Pantone Spot Color.
